Hanaharu Shuzo in Aizuwakamatsu City, which celebrated its 301st anniversary, collaborated with cartoonist Leiji Matsumoto, who is known for masterpieces such as "Galaxy Express 999" and "Space Battleship Yamato", on September 2nd. "Arcadia Meisho Sake 47 Selection, Byakkotai Second Division" is released.
Mr. Matsumoto is the first project to support earthquake disaster reconstruction and revitalize the region in collaboration with one sake brewery in each of 47 prefectures nationwide. Illustrations of military commanders related to the area selected by each sake brewery are drawn on the sake bottle.
The sake made by Hanaharu Sake Brewery was inspired by Byakkotai and finished with a mild, slightly dry and crisp taste. On the label, an illustration with the motif of Byakkotai supervised by Mr. Matsumoto is drawn. Mr. Kiyoshi Sato said, "I would like you to drink sake that goes well with sake during meals. I hope this will be an opportunity for you to get to know Hanaharu Shuzo and Aizu more and to become a catalyst for sightseeing."
